How to Apply for TNPSC Exam 2025?

1. You Go to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission’s  (TNPSC) official website please click on the attached URL: www.tnpsc.gov.in
2. After that, click on the “One Time Registration” (OTR) if you are a new user.
3. Enter your basic details, email ID, and phone number to create an account.
4. Pay the Time Registration Fee of ₹150/- (valid for 5 years).
5. Log in with your User ID and Password after registration.
6.  Navigate to “Apply Online” on the homepage.
7. Select TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2025 from the list of active notifications.
8. Now Enter the personal details, educational qualifications, and other required information.
9. after that upload the scanned copies of your photo and signature in the prescribed format.
10. Preliminary Exam Fee: ₹100/-
11. Main Exam Fee: ₹200/- (only if you clear Prelims)
12. Candidates can also make Payments via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
13. Review all details before final submission.
14. Click “Submit” and take a printout of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.

TNPSC Exam 2025 – ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

To apply for the TNPSC Exam 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements related to education, age, and nationality.

✔ Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
• The degree must be obtained from a recognized institution, and candidates must ensure that they have the necessary certifications at the time of application.
• Physical Standards: Certain positions, such as Deputy Superintendent of Police and District Officer (Fire and Rescue Services), have specific physical standards that candidates must meet. More information is available on the official website.
• Knowledge of Tamil: Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of the Tamil language. This is defined as having passed the SSLC examination or its equivalent with Tamil as one of the languages or having studied in Tamil medium.

✔ Age Limit:

Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Taxes), Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Assistant Director of Rural Development, District Employment Officer:

• Maximum Age: 34 years (for General category)

TNPSC Exam 2025 – SELECTION PROCESS: 

The selection process for the TNPSC Exam 2025 is designed to ensure that only the most qualified and capable candidates are recruited for this position. The process consists of three main stages, which include a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Interview.

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

• Mode: Offline (OMR-based)
• Total Marks: 300
• No. of Questions: 200
• Duration: 3 hours
• Qualifying Marks:
  • General Category: 120
  • SC/ST/OBC/PWD: 90
• Subjects & Marks Distribution:
  • General Studies (Degree level) – 175 Questions
  • Aptitude & Mental Ability (SSLC level) – 25 Questions

Candidates who qualify for Prelims move to the Mains Exam.

2. Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type)

• Mode: Offline (Written)
• Total Marks: 750 (250 Marks per paper)
• Duration: 3 hours per paper
• Qualifying Marks:
  • General Category: 340
  • SC/ST/OBC/PWD: 255
• Subjects & Marks Distribution:
  • Paper 1: Tamil Eligibility Test (Qualifying) – 100 Marks
  • Paper 2: General Studies – 250 Marks
  • Paper 3: Essay – 250 Marks
  • Paper 4: Administration & Ethics – 250 Marks

Candidates who clear Mains will be called for the Interview.

3. Interview (Oral Test)

• Marks: 100
• Total Marks (Mains + Interview): 850
• Final Selection: Based on Mains Exam + Interview Marks

Final Merit List: Candidates are ranked based on total scores from Mains & Interview.

Salary Structure

The pay scale for TNPSC Group 1 officers falls under Level 22 of the Tamil Nadu Pay Matrix.

• Basic Pay: ₹56,100 – ₹2,05,700 per month
• Gross Salary (Including Allowances): ₹70,000 – ₹1,20,000 per month (varies by post & experience)
